Just a quick update. The good news: I bought a tandem. The bad news: It's
not a Riv. At a bike swap yesterday, I found a good deal on a 2001
Cannondale tandem in our size. I'm a little sad that I won't get to own a
Riv, but reason says that I made a good decision by starting our entry into

different as far as height is concerned. However, I'll offer our experience
anyway, just in case it will be beneficial to you or anyone else. Keep in
mind, we've only been riding it since October '17, so it's still a fairly

-- I've tried North Road, flat bars, bar ends, Ergon grips, but nothing
ever was truly comfortable. And I've tried it on bikes with different kinds
of fit, from a Dahon folder, a Surly fat bike, to a Gunnar Roadie.
