Agreed... I just today installed the touring version on a 60cm Cheviot, 
replacing the non-touring Pletscher, and the bike feels much more stable 
when parked.  I really like the fact you do not have to cut the leg, making 
it both easier to get right on the length and, if you want to experiment 
with it on different bikes, you can just readjust longer or shorter as 
needed.  It also comes with a fairly substantial rubber foot, something 
that usually needed to be added to the previous versions.

I love it when upgrades actually work well on the first try!
