I don't have a roof rack. I rarely use fenders. We're in the clear. I'm now waiting for a Tubus Tara. -Justin -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email

So in order to take the low rider off when not in use, as the OP has written that he wants to do, he will need to remove the fender from the rack and somehow get it mounted to an eyelet in a different place. No fender, no problem. No roof rack, no problem. Permanent install, OK. Michael On

"... if you look at the pictures of the duo or the tara you can see how it will complicate mounting it and fenders" I have the Duo and it has a mounting tab for the fender stay. In fact, in its product description this is mentioned "so your fenders don't have to share". It's a simple

I have the Tara and have used it on my Sam and Rockhopper with the aforementioned mounts Tubus sells. As a sidenote, I also used the Tubus mounts to create attachment points for water bottle cages on the fork of my Rockhopper for an off-road tour. Worked like a charm. Bob K. in Baltimore P.S.

The Tara Ergo is also an option if you prefer the style of the Nova but it a non-stainless option. On Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 6:46:59 PM UTC-8, Justin August wrote: > > Hey folks- > Which low-riders would you

Ortlieb panniers come with hook inserts for "standard" (I think 9 mm) tubing, like Nitto racks, and "oversize" (I think 10 mm) tubing, like on Tubus racks. On Thu, Jan 19, 2017 at 8:46 AM, Kieran J wrote: > If you're considering the Tubus Tara, you might go another step and

If you're considering the Tubus Tara, you might go another step and look at the Tubus Nova. Instead of the odd oversized tubing of the Tara, it has a more std diameter construction that makes mounting some panniers easier (not sure about Ortlieb ones specifically). It's also stainless, whereas

I can't speak for Ortlieb use, since I'm a Lone Peak guy, but the Tara gets my vote for sure. Excellent quality. Strong, stiff, light. Easy to mount. I use the Tubus brackets that fit around the forks for mounting since the fork braze ons are in the wrong place for the Tara. Much nicer than
