I think you'd have a tough time making an ugly Atlantis. They're beautiful
bikes!

Tim, I like that look, too. I was headed towards settling on the silver/black
vibe, then I popped the black Jones Loops on and ordered the Microshift
drivetrain, so that kinda made the decision for me. What's cool is both looks
work on this frame!

Roberta, after a few days I can certainly say this is the best feeling bike
I've ridden.
Kai, I may remove the skateboard rack as it won't fit my current 10" board
that I'm riding and have to strap it on the basket, which works fine too.
I've thought about going smaller again but the big board
Thanks Edgar. I'm still playing around with saddle positioning hence the
tool roll strapped on the rack instead of attached to saddle rails. I
measured saddle height at 68cm last night, which I lowered a little (maybe
1cm) since the picture. My pbh is around 80cm.

It is an awesome bike. My first ride on an Atlantis convinced me that a
Rivendell bike was in my future. I ended up with a Joe Appaloosa (less
expensive two years ago), which is nowadays, nearly the same bike. You're
right, it rides amazingly and I don't notice the bike weight either when
Very nice bulid Tim!
What is your pbh and the distance between the center of the crank to the top of
your saddle?

Tom, I was planning on keeping the Troll and putting 2.8s on for winter
riding but that Gus is tempting. Luckily not owning a car anymore helps in
the money department.
Collin, I've long been a bike tinkerer. So much so that my LBS is now
offering me fill in shifts. The ride is definitely top

Looks like a bomber commuter! And isn't it funny that even though you've
had the bike for about a week you're already going through iterations and
tinkering? It's probably my favorite part about Rivs, second only to the
ride.
Enjoy the new bike and ride the heck out of it!
Collin
On Tuesday,
Well, that bike could take you there and back again, if ever one could.
Looks bombproof, but comfy. Nice!
Congrats,
Tom
PS. Don't think this will be your only Riv. Resisting is futile. You'll
be poor, but in a happy kinda way.
