Tim...the anticipation and picking the parts is the totally fun part, I
agree...it's like Christmas. That black currant pearl is really nice,
too...probably gorgeous in the flesh. Very nice bike; there sure are a
whack of very fine framebuilders

Pictures of the color from Mitch's Flickr page below. I love it. I think it's
called Black Currant Pearl. I'll put a link for the PPG paint tool also. It's
really neat. It's based on auto colors, so if you knew the make and year of a
car color you like you can pull it right out.
Tim...I'd love to see the colour you are talking about , if you have a
photo; that sounds really close to what I want. Anyhow, the Riv site
directed me to the Joe Bell Imron PDF...but from what you're saying , that
exact colour might not be available...but I expect JB will come up with a
Maybe someone can enlighten me? When I floated an Imron color (from Eric's
campy only site) to Mitch Pryor for my new rando bike, he told me it was no
longer available due to the toxicity of the paint. He uses PPG paint, and I
chose my color from their online tool. I was looking for a deep,

On your crankset are you really asking for your two chianrings to be 36T
and 40T? That's like a half step without granny in the subcompact size
range. That's cool if that's what you want and/or need. A lot of people
will tell you that you need a higher gear than 40 x 12, or will at least
Oh...Garth, that's good to know. Thanks
To my eye the darker shades look the best with the cream accents, head

Also, believe it or not , autumn is pretty much my favourite season, and
one reason is that I love the fall palette of
You'll be alright with your choice Ryan . I chose my Imron paint from
that very chart and in "real life" it was what I anticipated . Imron

light so even the swatches themselves are only accurate in the light of the
Wow! Fantastic bike! The color is absolutely perfect.

Interesting. I trust that Mark knew what he was doing. It shifts
flawlessly and to get the cables to rub on the headtube would require
a very sharp turn if the bars which would likely result in bigger
concerns.

I just uploaded a few more shots of the bike pre-maiden voyage. I
can't really do justice to the paint. To say it exceeded my

Beautiful bike.
When the time comes for touch-up paint, try Autocolor Service in
Oregon, telephone 1-866-672-8201. Autocolor's House of Kolor touch-up
paints are made to brush on, match perfectly, and look much better
than touch-up paints that are made to spray on.
Enjoy the bike.

I'm not entirely sure other than there was a long list of folks ahead
