Tom asked what Hunqapillar owners can do that Atlantis owners can’t. Likely
nothing, but I just did a bikepacking trip on my HunqaBeam, total weight 74
pounds including food and water, on single track, stomping up hills (fixed
gear), that might over flex a lighter frame or make it feel less
The 54cm Hunqapillar is gone. Hopefully someone here got it!

I also sold my hunq for a MUSA Atlantis. Mainly because 29er wheels/tires on a
54cm frame felt huge to me. I’d consider them functionally equivalent and
similar in feeling, stiffness, etc, though I know the geometry is different. I
decided I really only need a 50mm tire at my max and prefer not
I sold my Hunq to buy my MUSA Atlantis. The Atlantis better suits my style of
riding, but I regret selling the Hunq. It was just fun to ride.

I think the only hint at a MIT Hunq is the following from the Blahg, per
below they considered keeping the name Hunqapiller for the new mtb.
"We were all set to name the new mtn bike Elephantus--a rebound name after
we'd finally opted out of Hunqapillar to avoid confusion...and it turns out
I was wondering if Bill's response in this thread was specualtion or a
subtle hint at some insider information. The possible MTB was my first
thought.

Man, I had a 54 hunqapillar and stupidly sold it. Probably my biggest mistake
bikewise. I’d have to sell the lot to go for it. BMC or crust evasion anyone??
;)

Grant had mentioned something in the Blahg about a potential mountain bike that
peaked my interest. I wonder if that’s on the way.

The copy doesn't say "last of MUSA Hunqs", just a chance to get one right away.
It's kinda typo-ed so easy to misinterpret. I'm sure there will be a MIT Hunq
eventually, but nothing has been announced.

I didn't even notice that one of them had the Wavie bar. Since the
Bullmoose seems to have disappeared, the Wavie is the only Riv handlebar
that might interest me.

I don't recall any mention of MIT Hunqapillars. Did I miss that?

58/62 Hunq and Atlantis owners, what would you do with a Hunq that you
couldn't do with an Atlantis?

In one of the actual bike descriptions they alluded to it being a chance to
grab one of the last from the MUSA lot. I assume they will be better served
with demo MIT Hunqs moving forward. Their brainpower and bike/frame knowledge
will determine whether someone will be better off(doubtful
Maybe that means they are clearing the deck for something new.
