Great blog post!! I'm sure the photos don't tell the whole picture but it
looks like a relatively small facility. When I think of Schwinn, I don't
necessarily think small. It stands to reason that they've downsized
considerably but I was still thinking of a massive workshop.

Thanks alot, it was a really cool visit. Richard told me the whole facility
was 8,000 sq ft. I was shooting w/ a 55mm lens so everything looks fairly
compact in the frame. The layout gave plenty of room in each of the
stations and it was very well organized. When we walked around we
JUST like one of those Chinese factories where one factory spits out the same
frame for a bunch of different brands!
Seriously, I would love to take a tour around there.

Yep, they paint there too. I toured the factory with a group of BOBs
several years back. They had several Paramounts that had come in for
restoration (and were absolutely perfect) and a guy was in the process of
spraying a yellow Gunnar when we went by the paint booth.
