Eunice,
I'm terribly inarticulate when it comes to feelings, but I'd like to add my
sentiments to all the kind words already written. I am so sorry for your
loss. Like many here, I only knew Seth online. I enjoyed Seth's (always
positive) commentary on these forums and on flickr, and he
Eunice, thank you for the update on how justice has moved in behalf of Seth.
I hope and pray that you have been able to find some release from the pain
of your loss. I have been through my own grief, but not to be compared to
yours. I have also spent 13 years as a chaplain at a major medical

Eunice,
I too am furious that Mr. Kemp is only given a sentence of 12 to 24 months
for taking a life your loves life. I am so sorry that you lost such a
wonderful Human being. Sitting here typing I realize how inadequate I am in
expressing my sorrow for you and Seth. My hope for you is that
Eunice, thank you for sharing this. I admire your assertiveness of Seth's
vitality in the proceedings, and of course share others' condolences here.
I hope to bear witness to his life in my work, in my partnership and
fatherhood, and in my riding.

Hi Eunice,
I did not know Seth, but when a fellow cyclist is killed riding a bike it
deeply affects me, and I have had a heavy heart ever since reading about
Seth's accident. When I clicked on one of the links to his photos, I saw
several pictures of you, and I felt great sorrow for your

Thank you for posting here, and so sorry for your loss. You and all of
Seth's family and friends have definitely been in my thoughts; he just
seemed like a very special person. It is good to hear that Seth's

Thank you, Eunice, for reaching out. We're so sorry for you, and for
ourselves. I'm glad I knew Seth, even only electronically. What a positive
light he was. He's an inspiration to be a little kinder, a little more
engaged, and to enjoy the ride a little more.

Hi-
You don't know me, but I'm Seth's partner Eunice. I have debated sending
this, because I'm not really a Riv owner but thought you all might want to
know.
The bike he rode when he was killed was his Romulus. I don't know where it
is, but it's probably being held for evidence.

Thank you for contacting the group. Our hearts go out to you the rest of
Seth's family. Even though we were only connected electronically, Seth
touched so many of us that the loss felt quite personal, so we appreciate
how devastating this tragedy is for you those who knew him
Terrible. Iv'e read his posts here, and maybe interacted with him a few
times and he seemed like a great guy. I'm not sure how many of you know
this but he was sort of famous in the linux/tech/sysadmin circles. I heard
about this first on a site I visit daily for work-type news.
RIP Seth.

I really enjoyed getting to know Seth just a little bit via this list and
flickr. I hope before this tragic event happened he was enjoying a nice
ride and thinking good thoughts.

Jack,
So glad he turned himself in, I can't help think that had (the suspect)
called it in immediately Seth may have had a chance to survive. My heart
goes out to his family friends, he will be in my prayers.

So sad...
I just read through some email correspondance I had with Seth over the past
couple of years.
He was immensely helpful and engaging.
I lived in Durham and am there often and we spoke of biking some time I'm
down there.
He seems like a good person who was a joy to be around.
