Doug, those sound like some excellent trips - next time! Biking the 1 to
Big Sur, which is such beautiful drive, would be at the top of my list.
I didn't get out to Walnut Creek as it was a 4 day turnaround with 3 days
on the bike, but I've been before and it's everything I'd hoped it would

What you rode, while excellent, gives you a taste of the riding available
in that area. One of my all time favorite rides is Crescent City to San
Francisco. Takes roughly a week, depending on individual taste in pacing,
