Realized while heading home on Sunday (and it was brought home by looking
at Jim's photos) that no one photographed the water crossings. The Rustic
Road we took in Wisconsin had four of 'em. No one crashed or got overly
wet, although we came close on one. Still, it's something you don't see
It's a shame that nobody captured the high drama of the water crossings on film
or pixels. I guess we'll have to go back there soon.

night in Red Wing. The overnight location would be Wabasha, MN, where there

Amtrak to Winona or St Paul, and Red Wing is a nice 60 mile ride. Red Wing
has Amtrak, but no luggage service. If you have a coupled bike or a folder,
you can Amtrak to Red Wing with bike as carry-on.

Dawn and I were at the Velo show in Madison last year when we were finalizing
the ordering of our tandem. The biking up there from the little bit we had
time to do was fantastic. We'd love to get back up there.

with something. I don't need much provocation to get a new bike, I ride a
57-59 in the classic Riv scheme, but 52-56 in the Hillborne scheme. I have
a Curt Goodrich, and he used to build for Riv, so that may be close
