Shoji, We bikepack with our family of six, including a 7-month old and 3-year old. Depending on the terrain, my wife hikes in with a pack and our 7-mo. old (4 or fewer miles) and I ride with the rest. But it gets us all out together, away from anyone else and works great. Here's a picture of
