Indeed. Surface matters. I've had paved hills I've had to walk up when loaded, but never a spun out rear wheel. Loose dirt, absolutely a different experience. I've walked hills I would otherwise make it up either because of spinning rear wheel or ruts, roots, rocks I simply am too unskilled to
