Hi Robert, I've got a small HHH, which is mainly used for toodling around town with my kids. (I often add a Burley piccolo to make is a triple HHH.)
I've used it to go bikecamping on a few occasions. Although it's a long bike, I've taken it on the Boston-area ferries to get to Cape Cod and to the Harbor Islands. It's easy to ride. I'm not a ride-all-day person, so I can't comment from experience on HHH in that use case. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bkc7lrDheM6/ It's 650b with dyno front hub and bosco bars front and rear. The wide and upright position is comfortable and makes for a relaxed ride. I think switching to albatross or billy bars would make me feel more inclined to pedal harder/faster. My caveats: it's a large bike and takes up quite a bit of space. I haven't transported it by auto-- it would be a challenge. I'm looking at e-cargo bikes, and that might fit my life better than a tandem. I'm happy with the purchase, and I look forward to more rides in different conditions as my kids get older. (My spouse and I have very different pedaling styles, and it's better for us to ride separate bikes.)
