I've got a small HHH, which is mainly used for toodling around town with my 
kids. (I often add a Burley piccolo to make is a triple HHH.)

I've used it to go bikecamping on a few occasions. Although it's a long 
bike, I've taken it on the Boston-area ferries to get to Cape Cod and to 
the Harbor Islands. It's easy to ride. I'm not a ride-all-day person, so I 
can't comment from experience on HHH in that use case.

It's 650b with dyno front hub and bosco bars front and rear. The wide and 
upright position is comfortable and makes for a relaxed ride. I think 
switching to albatross or billy bars would make me feel more inclined to 
pedal harder/faster. 

My caveats: it's a large bike and takes up quite a bit of space. I haven't 
transported it by auto-- it would be a challenge. I'm looking at e-cargo 
bikes, and that might fit my life better than a tandem. 

I'm happy with the purchase, and I look forward to more rides in different 
conditions as my kids get older. (My spouse and I have very different 
pedaling styles, and it's better for us to ride separate bikes.)
