In the last year, I have converted at least 7 bikes to dynamo hubs. Initially I was worried about drag, but it is very minimal when you are on the bike and moving. My first hub was a SON. Since then I've laced up 3 Shimano & 3 or 4 Shutter Precisions. The SON is probably the best overall package

my understanding is that when you spin wheel you will notice drag, but it doesn't generate as much power as your legs. So when you are actually riding at high speeds the drag is less noticeable. I could be wrong. i've got dyno hubs on all my bikes and haven't felt noticeable drag, but then agai
