Some highlights from my ride (I rode with my buddy Randy):

Last year, I went way too fast on the first climb up Sir Francis
Drake. I was in my middle ring and I should have been in my granny.
Well, this year, I
I'm signed up for the Lighthouse 200k on Saturday. For those interested it
starts at the Golden Gate Bridge, head up through Marin to Sir Francis
Drake Blvd in Fairfax. Then the course follows Sir Francis Drake all the
way through Samuel P Taylor Park until it hits Highway 1 in the tiny town
Hey Will
I'm in for it, too... Road-ified-the-Legolas and we'll just be hoping
it (and rider) hold together! I've ridden the Populaire/route-of
previously, that's not too bad- so, we'll just see about tacking on
that extra 100.
But. The question. Is this a HRNB?

Hey William, I too signed up for the 200k and am excited but definitely
weary of my fitness right now. Ive ridden a little before with Manny,
Esteban, and Joe on the New Years Day ride up to Diablo. I am pretty sure
Im going to ride my AHH, so keep an eye out for a blue Hilsen with Alba
I'll be there (200K) on my lugged steel PBP bike ... perhaps with clip-on
fenders just in case the weather report is wrong. I'm planning to wear a natty
all-wool emsemble, but you never know. I may tempt fate by wearing some Lycra.
I'm planning to cruise, not race, so look for a guy on a bright

simple solution a hard ride to somewhere. Preferably with good food.
BTW... hope you all have a nice ride. I missed the season opener last
weekend in San Diego due to family obligations.
I may have to come up there later this year and try one of the SFR 200k's.

I'll be there with my 650b Ram. My fitness is fair to lousy--I've
ridden under 200k in the last 2 months (decent cross-training though),
but my determination is hard to beat. I will be checking people in,
so say hi before I'm off the rear and never seen again--luckily I have

It was purely for my own selfish purposes :-). I figured if I
volunteered, then I'd have to ride, rain or shine. Luckily it looks
more shiny/cloudy than rainy so far.

I will be on-call for work on Saturday and therefore need to stay
relatively close to Frisco, so I am doing the 115K Populaire. I'll be
riding a blue JP Weigle with cream Hetres and a large Ely Rodriguez/Ruth
