Well, it was just too nice of a day to go into work again. (Actually,
I had asked for the day off in advance. Figuring just one ride
wouldn't be enough.) Today the weather was more cooperative. Sunny
enough to wear a MUSA seersucker to keep the sun off.

Ended up riding around 60 miles. Even though the Hillborne is a
"country" bike, the riding was basically in the city. Or specifically
a few different parts of two cities. Initial impressions still
hold. The bike handles like a dream. Today did quite a bit more
climbing, and the bike responded quite well to my riding effort.
Although have to admit a couple of turtles passed me on one climb.
Would not have minded if they hadn't chuckled so loud. As to
descending, well, let's just say that I chickened out at 36 mph.
Again, the bike is far superior to the rider. It also handled short
sections of non-paved paths and a short stretch of cobblestones with
aplomb.

Posted a few more shots on flickr (they're in the same overall
Hillborne category). http://tinyurl.com/ce3zc4

Only did a couple of mods to the bike so far. Replaced the rear
cantilever cable hanger with one that has an adjuster. Also shortened
the rear brake cable housing (front and rear) so it looks better and
would not interfere with the hobo bag.
