Yeah their stuff is pretty expensive, but not over-priced. Might be overkill for a lot of people though (not unlike a $1500 lugged steel frameset ;) ). Pricing is definitely a product of quality of materials and MUSA labour, and their stuff is more labour-intensive to make than a shop sack,

I don't have a shop sack, but I can offer a hearty endorsement for the Swift Sugarloaf, which I've used as a daily carry for about four years now. It's more expensive and smaller volume (I think), but also made in USA, top notch quality, nearly waterproof, and has some organization pockets etc.
