Well, perfectionist that I am, at least I know that this imperfection is shared by others; what do they call that vice ... a form of envy? I should back off the tension in the hinge; in fact, will go it now before I forget. Thanks. On Wed, Nov 27, 2019 at 3:59 PM Joe Bernard wrote: > Yes the

Yes the play is normal. I don't know the mechanics of all this, but I've heard stories of people adjusting it too tight and breaking stuff in there. You want it snug enough that the frame itself isn't actually moving around, but not hurting your hand to close it. -- You received this

Interesting comparison between BF and Dahon -- not that I know Fridays, but I've always thought of them as "real" bikes, and thought Dahons suffer all sorts of compromises because of their folding design and price points. While my Dahon Hon Solo -- an upper-end chromo limited edition model -- is

I've noticed this about hub-gear folders, too..the weight of it really calms down the darty feeling compared to derailer models. So does the belt, oddly, but I think it's psychological: I owned a Silk (I think you have it) and a Dahon Mu Uno with belt drive and the silence has a way of making

I bought an old, beat up Speed 7 from ebay during a boring moment in last year's Superbowl (there were many IIRC). New tires (Tioga Powerblocks) really transformed it from a drag to ride into something fun. Then new brakes, fenders, seat, front rack, handlebars, etc. I just picked up a used Bike

My first Clem was the mustard yellow, a color I really love. But I didn’t love the stock build at all, and after a busy summer of bike stuff, I didn’t have any energy to rebuild it: https://bikingtoplay.blogspot.com/2017/09/a-summer-fling-with-clem.html?m=1 Clem 2 was a green frameset from eBay.

Thanks Eric, I plan to hold out for something popping up on the used market - I’m guessing about the time those hillibikes start shipping. What made you sell the two H’s? On Nov 24, 2019, at 8:28 AM, Eric Daume wrote: Just be patient. Having bought and sold two 59cm Clem Hs, they seem to go

Just be patient. Having bought and sold two 59cm Clem Hs, they seem to go for about $900 complete or about half that for the frameset. They don’t hold their value especially well, and they’re out there. Eric On Sunday, November 24, 2019, Jeffrey B wrote: > Thanks Tom, I actually contacted
