We were kind of hijacking Bill's new canti-Roa bike post with discussion
about brakes, pad material, and rims so I decided to start a new one to
continue. Bill has stated that in his experience over the years as a
mechanic he was required to address all kinds of issues from cyclists
I'm looking at the 56 cm blue single-top-tube Sam frames on the RBW site
and wondering which brakes they take. Are they all now the Silvers? Don't

On Sunday I took a nice 20 mile bike ride on the Los Gatos Creek Trail on
my Betty. At the end of the outbound leg, there are two steep climbs, one
on dirt (avg. 16%) and one on pavement that is longer (avg. 13%).
