I would highly recommend folks do the Popularie. I'd drive up if I
wasn't in Paris.
Last year there were like 150 riders, half of whom were first time
randonneurs.
Its a great route, and as always, a great group to boot.

I too once fixed a clicking noise like that by retightening all of the
chainring bolts. It's easy to see how a single loose bolt could cause
that kind of click.

I get clicking on M324s -- nice pedals, btw -- when I get very slight
cleat slippage. I noticed this recently riding two different bikes
both with those pedals in a new pair of shoes: the cleats would slip
very slight and click under power (and only under power, not while
cruising) while they

Sorry I will miss you this time. Have a good time in Paris. My wife
went to school there for two years, she thinks it is the best city on

Sacha,
Good question. I don't know for sure, but I'd venture to guess that
it can be serviced -- just not in the same way (by unthreading the hub
shell). The SONdelux is actually the successor to the SON20 for
16-20 wheels rather than the SON28, which was designed for 26 to
700c. There are

Hey guys, we made it! We didn't leave until late and that gave us a great
break in the weather. Of course we didn't get to China camp until like
10:00pm (only sprinkled on us), but that's what dynamo's are for right! It

I have contemplated the possibility that this was the cleat/pedal interface

luck. I also can't tell if it occurs when my right foot is fully weighting the
pedal or when the left foot is completely unweighting its

Clyde,
I've got a long cage Shimano Deore LX reverse rise sitting on my
bench...worked fine but I swapped it because I wanted a non-reverse.
It's used with minor scratches...can send pic if you'd like. Could
either trade or sell (not looking for much).

Hi,
I would like to have my green Hillborne frame painted or powder coated

Does anyone have any suggestions on frame painters who can do a good

are photos of 2 of his paintjobs (on my bikes)... I think he does a
fabulous job, and his prices are very reasonable.
