The effective reach on my 60cm Surly CC is 60.0, the 61cm Roadini almost
the same, 5mm bigger. The CC is a smidge too long for me, the height is
good, but my T-Rex arms needed a new fork with uncut steerer tube and the

Indeed, a fendered 650B conversion should work fine on that bike. Two
caveats: 1. Rivs already have a low BB so the smaller wheel size could be a
pedal-strike issue if you tend to pedal through turns. 2. Long-reach
calipers like the Tektro R559 Riv sells won't work because that frame was

them according to seattube length. In this crazy modern world of sloping
toptubes an older 54cm Atlantis fits like a newer 51cm, rendering sizing by

I have the same wheelset & can attest to how rugged these are. I have over
50,000 miles on them, many of them loaded touring, & have had to have the
rear trued twice. Great build.

That is a fine bicycle. Toyo made and came stock with pretty much the same
parts as Rambouillet, it was a screaming deal back then and impossible for
Grant to replicate for that kind of money now. Mine was a smidge too big
cuz 55cm was the smallest size, but I sure miss it.
