That is mine. It is listed at $1600 to cover the listing cost. Will sell
for $1400 + shipping to anyone here that is interested.

Why not consider a one-off custom that combines the best features of your
Clem, Platypus, and all the features that you'd like to add to those? There
are a surprising number of custom builders across the country, and while
some are better at some things than others, I expect that you'd find one or
I’m thinking of Clem L. Man, that low tube is heaven. I wish I could lend you
mine. Well, let’s face it, my MIXTE would be a step-through to you!

Where does step through start? I consider my Rosco mountain a step through,
but I do need to lift my leg a bit. I think Clem L is lower, but I've never
swung a leg through one.

Yes, Ana’s famous PurpleRiv. A mixte to die for. But not a step-through...

You know I’m a Clem-lover, and mine took me through the worst days of my
life this last year. It’s nearly perfect and has only one tiny flaw - it’s
a bit heavy/overbuilt for a woman my size. I’m also a Platypus lover, and
it’s only drawback is that I miss my step-through top tube. Otherwise

Interesting how low the seat tube bottle cage mount is.

Andrew, that's a great looking bike. The blackwall Bon Jons look just fine
to me. Agree on your assessment of the Dia Compe 980s.
Patrick Moore asked about the 980s: setup is no easier or more difficult
than other cantis I've used (Paul, Shimano); silver finish! No squeal with
Kool Stop pads.

Love the picture and the setup. I have a similar setup but no view as pretty.

I wish I'd been able to use your powder coater when I had my last frame,
late spring 2020, powdercoated. The builder used a new vendor who did a
pretty mediocre job; not *horrible,* but if you look really closely, you
can see orange peel-type roughness in certain areas. Too bad, because the
26" tires are sold as well. Still have the lone 27.5

Thanks! Crazy that those colors went so out of fashion & are now completely
back in again.

Nice work! There used to be a page in the Rivendell Readers where they
would "Rivendellize" an old bike to get the bars up and make it functional,
this reminds me of that. I dig the battleship gray on those old Treks, it's
a beauty!

Agreed - the wheels aren't that great anyway, this was part of the original
plan but then budget creep struck and nice toys like Brook's saddles
beckoned!
