It's tricky, but I've bungeed front wheels alongside my rear rack. Two
connections on the front of the wheel and one to the towed bike's fork. Get it
right and it's a trailer (not for riders though)
Unfortunately I've no pictures, but I promise it's a thing. I've also tried the
upside down kids
It's lovely! And a great candidate for lug lining.

Did you switch the housing as well? Even if, I've gotten some bad housing in
the past... Many folks use brake housing for all shifter runs. If you're
running friction out back, it's fine for that, and it's always great up front.

The top Allen bolt only does it's job (setting your bearing load) when the stem
bolts are loose. If they're tight (the stem bolts on the side) the top bolt can
do nothing. Fact is, you don't really need that top bolt and cap. It's not a
bad thing to have, but I used to faintly tighten the stem

I carry a plug kit, extra sealant, and a valve tool. I don't lose sealant
through the atmosphere, so refilling schedule is dependent on how many horrible
things I've run over lately. When it doesn't seal up and is a small hole, I add
sealant (by removing the valve) and go on my merry way, if
I use a s-84 27.2 lugged post on my 29.8 Clem no problem! I used a shim which I
filed to fit the contours of the seat lug. Never slipped, and looked even
better to my eye. As for my 26.8 Roscos, nitto makes the s-83.

compatibility. I ride every day in NYC (up until today when a slick spot in

You might consider buying a bulk roll of brake housing. The cheap stuff works
for just about anything (except dick brakes, I'd say they're on their own
there), friction shifting is great with it, all manner of brakes of course, and

Tried it on my MIT, thought I heard Dylan, couldn't see anything, this was with

Well, not a scratch of harm to the paint, and though it's off topic and I had
thought to create a new thread for this, I'll go ahead and mention it here,
that flame can't harm your Rivendell! At worst it might leave it super clean,
bad being maybe the good grease burns off too?

Pretty. Do you fear that slice might elongate? And is it squirmy where it's
cut? Some thin cotton bar tape feels good over those rubber grips, and
would keep it wrangled.
