I second the Cyclemeter suggestion. I was given a tip that if you operate it in airplane mode it saves battery use. Also, you can set it to automatically upload to Strava with the paid subscription which I highly recommend. And you can upload routes as well though I have not tried to do so yet.

I have one that is really superb. Fully vented I can wear up to 50 degrees. All vents closed and worn over 3 thin wool layers I was comfortable down to single digits ( in the woods - no wind). It is a 7 mesh jacket - “ Revelation” is the model. Insanely expensive. My best eBay score ever!
