I use one on my Surly LHT with sandwich-no kickstand plate on an LHT. It has
supported a good 50lbs of weight with no problems while the bike was fully
loaded on tour. I do hear it creak on occasion when used with a heavy load.
My only other complaints are front wheel flop and issues

With my youngest, we skipped training wheels. I had him on one of those razer
scooters for a month to work on balance. (If I had known about the balance
bikes, I would have used one.). Once he learned to balance on the scooter, it

I don't have the experience you seek. When I road the trail I parked in
Cumberland, MD and got shuttled to Pittsburgh. For parking in Cumberland,
I got permission from the hotel where I spent a night to leave my car in
their lot. Might that be an option for you in Pittsburgh?

town is uphill from the canal, but it is worth a

Sorry to read about your experience. I get yelled at every so often by someone
who takes out their frustration on me. My favorite occurred one morning along
a busy 6 lane road. I ride on the sidewalk for three blocks in a super busy
stretch. As I was crossing the road in the cross
