My wife and I have converted two bikes with a mid drive kit very similar to
the Luna Cycle kit that Joe posted. We are very happy with them, so far.
It has been about a year and they are still going strong.

I bought one of the stem mount stops after seeing the link here. It is in
transit from the UK and I will report back once I have tested it. (I would
have preferred one of the fork mounted ones but I bought it for a bike with
center pulls.)

I am not very flexible. Even when I was young, before I hit my growth

Is anyone still electrifying Rivendells? I just recently purchased two mid
drive kits (one for me, one for my wife) and have installed them on non
Rivendell bikes. But, I really love them and still have a desire to
eventually own a Rivendell bike so I am curious if others are still doing
it.
Craig, I would love to see more pictures of that Condor.

Ash, I see you have yours set up with all rounder type tires. Are you
using it on the road much? If so, how does it work for road riding?

It depends on the build. If I was building a practical bike, it would not
matter to me. If I was building up a beautiful to look at and ride bike, it
would matter to me. Unused disc mounts are not pretty.

I agree with your assessment but that Bull Thistle, built by Alex Meade, is
a thing of beauty. I don't anticipate ever spending that much for a bike
frame, but if I were going to, it be a Bull Thistle.

I love that color. The bottom bracket looks low. Had Grant started to use

I am curious about the finish of a Sam Hillborne. I lucked into a 1984
Paramount Touring a year or so ago and got my first up close view of what a
high end frame looks like. The finish on it is top notch. The lug lines
are very clean. No stray file marks or tiny drips of brass (silver?).
Thanks a bunch. I'll give it some more thought.

That Raleigh is lovely. As a Raleigh fan, I would be all over that if I had
not recently bought an 85 Schwinn Voyageur. Good luck with the sell.
Somebody is going to get a frame out of that.

What is the bottom bracket drop on your Redwood? Was that built before
Rivendell started using 80 mm of drop for frames? I have an 84 Paramount
touring with 80mm of drop and have played with the idea of putting 650b on
it. I have never made any moves to make it happen due to the bb drop but

A roadish bike that will take 50mm tires sounds like what I have been

Those look great. I will be waiting for your review. I get hand/wrist
pain from most flat bars but drops have been giving me numb hands lately.
Those Get Around bars look interesting, too.
Note- The For Shred Bar is only available in a 31.8 from Velo Orange.

Is there a brochure yet where I can look at geometry, etc? I like the looks
of the Gus (way too heavy for the Susie) better than most bikes these days
and wonder if it would make a good all rounder.

Will it shift when not on a hill? It may be that the limit screw for the
lower gear needs a slight tweak or that the cable needs to be given just a
bit more slack so that the derailleur can move a little more toward the
smaller gear.

I am curious, too. I have started to accept the fact that drop bars are

My PBH is 92 and I can't imagine riding at the recommended 80-82 saddle
height. My hips rock terribly with it that high. I find about 77-78 works
best for me. I also have tight hamstrings and glutes. I am curious if
