On Thursday, August 8,
I've ridden with Shawn on his Country Bike in the City rides in Portland.
Always a good time. Never technical. Not sure what his Vancouver route is
like, but he's a good ride leader and route scouter. The raciest of bikes
may require walking for a short stretch at some point, but I wouldn't let

Hub and spoke certainly seems like the preferred design for a larger
gathering of this type.
Denver area would be great, but I'm not there so wouldn't be much help for
organizing.
I will be among the camping contingent.
I hope this happens.

I wonder if we could find some sort of BB type place that would have rooms
for those who want to sleep indoors and a lawn for those who want to throw

deteriorating) and the tubes that held the fabric up. Then I cut a deck out
of 3/8 plywood and made little walls/rails. I can send a few detail pics
when I get it back from Chris, or perhaps Chris will take/post a few
I certainly appreciate the flatness of Portland when I'm riding with my
kids or a big load, but I often miss just stumbling upon a spectacular post
card worthy view while out doing day-to-day things. Have been enjoying your
flickr pics of late. If nothing else they remind me of my days in the
