I really like your Roadeo and the build. There was a Roadeo with flat bars
on the Rivendell Blug a while back. The bars might have been MAP's instead
of Albatross'.

My question is out of curiosity. Just wondering if members' experiences

The Spring 2015 Bicycle Quarterly indicates there will be a Compass 35 -
622 tire, the Bon Jon Pass. The tire's not yet shown on the Compass web
site, and there is no availability date in the magazine.
Other new tire offerings per the magazine are: 55-559, Rat Trap
Pass (Extralight only);
I swapped from a 100mm/+17 degrees to a 110mm/+17 degrees stem when I went
from Mark's drop bars to the Map/Ahearne bars, and did not change the
spacer height (20mm). I like the bars a lot, and with my increasing lack
of flexibility am much more comfortable with the upright position.

In mid-2002 when I ordered my Rivendell custom, the standard fork crown is
on the Rivendell in the background. When I received the bike, the fork
crown was the same as on Lon's green bike. I called Rivendell and was told

I saw my first Hungapillar (single top tube} last week in Austin, Texas.
The bike was owned by a local bike shop employee and was built up in
classic Rivendell fashion, down tube friction shifters, etc. All

I switched from Tektro long reach dual pivots to Paul's bolt-on center
pulls. The Tektro stock pads were replaced with Kool-Stop salmon pads. I
think the center pulls were more powerful and modulated better. Maybe the
wider 650b x 32 tires have something to do with the difference?
