[RBW] Head Badge
I used fishing line and a hairdryer to debadge a car once. Take your time. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Alcohol will loosen the adhesive on most double stick tape. If you can squeeze a little between the headtube and badge a few times while using the dental floss, it should go easier. I’d rub it on an inconspicuous place first to make sure it doesn’t mar the finish. John -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Rivendell has this info. There was an article on the site about 12 or so years ago. I’m pretty sure they recommended using dental floss. Get it between the badge and tube and work your way down slowly and carefully. The badge can be put back on with 3M double sided automotive tape— the stuff to put your Honda badge back on your Honda. Any automotive parts store should have it. I’d definitely call Riv to verify. Cheers! Chris -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. When I removed my Romulus headbadge to repaint the frame, I pulled dental floss between badge and frame to cut through adhesive. no paint loss and headbadge wasn't destroyed either. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. The headbadge on my Bleriot was kind of bent and fading so I just pulled it off. I know the customs badges are screwed on but I believe the rest are just held on by thick double sided tape. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. If you have removed a head bage from a Sam how did you do it and did it remove any paint? I might want to put a different one on.
