[RBW] A restoration is kicked off, officially
As most of you caught, my beloved Father, James Robert Lindsay, died on October 4th, 2013. Part of my recovery is being a smart-ass with people I like, like all of you. Another part of my recovery and a tribute to my dear father is a restoration/conversion of his 1973 Windsor Carrera Sport. I got a nice step underway over Thanksgiving. My sis-in-law had room to deliver the wheelset from Southern California up to me. I'm doing a 27-to-700 conversion. I got the wheels taken apart and the hubs cleaned and polished. I'm super excited about it. I'll lace up the wheels tonight. Pictures prove I'm working http://www.flickr.com/photos/45758191@N04/sets/72157638367153736/ Riv content: I'm switching to Twin Hollows, Albatross bars, Tektro levers, and MKS Sneaker pedals from Riv. I'll likely use silver longboards as well. The Brooks B17 I add and the 700x35 Paselas are definitely Rivish on this lugged steel MINA frameset (Made in North America). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. The hubs look great, Bill. Nice job. Terrific idea. Bike will be restored and there is a therapeutic and contemplative exercise for the worker. Win-win.
