My eldest daughter (12 1/2) is interested in joining me for doing a section of the Colorado Trail (high alpine single track), the plan is to travel 10-15 miles a day (necessitated by water locations in some instances) and be surprised if we want/can do more. We have easy outs multiple places

One suggestion: if you find a nice place to camp, don't be afraid to stay there. Instead, take a day ride or two and go back to base camp. Sometimes it's nice not having to pack up and go some place. It'll also give her time for her art and/or writing. Happy camping, Patrick. (We're off for
