Number one by a large margin:
Spend more time with my daughter. She goes to bed at 7 - I only have a 20
minute walk to work, but by bike it us 10 minutes. Those 10 minutes matter when
I only have about 120 minutes between leaving work and bedtime.
Number two:
Get stuff done faster, cheaper
My bikes make possible:
A healthier and more enjoyable commute
Healthy and fun family outings and multi day tours with my children
Restorative solo rides
Friends who enjoy cycling ( including many through this group)
Satisfaction from building and maintaining my bikes and my family's bikes
Feeling
Bikes make it possible for me to turn a 3 mile round trip to the Post
Office or grocery store by car into a 15 or 20 mile detour by bike.
