Just in case you have not seen this elsewhere. At that time I mentioned the condition to be quite good. To me it was. But to me the small, bondo filled, and touched up dimple in the top tube was barely noticeable.
Rather than try to sell it that way, I decided to have it inspected and, if necessary, repaired by a local frame maker Bernie Mikkelsen. Bernie was able to actually push the dimple out via a through hole in the coupler. And then filled the remaining with a couple of dabs of silver solder. He pronounced it sound and strong. It still wasn't absolutely perfect, but no more bondo, and back to all metal. I then took it to a quality powder coater and had the entire frameset redone in the same kustard as its first coat. Now the powder is perfect all around and there is just a bit of waviness under the powder where the dimple was. This is not a show piece, but a very fine suitcase suitable travel bike. Nice lugs, fender eyelets front and rear, rear rack attachment points, room for fat tires and fenders, sweet Riv inspired Rambouillet-like geometry.
