If you can find one, my top recommendation is the Campy Champ Triple. I have it
on a Riv with a 24-36-46 crank and 700C wheels, and it is the only FD that has
made me say, Hey maybe there are worthwhile differences between good enough
FD's and great ones! This is a great one.

The 105 5500 that came on my Redwood is the best-shifting front triple
derailer setup I have ever had. I haven't noticed excessive trimming
required. Of course, a triple almost always requires more trimming than a
double.

I am finding that I am having to trim my front derailleur to often for my
liking on my Homer Hilsen due to the chain rubbing on the cage. I have a
Shimano 105 up front, with standard riv sugino cranks / chainrings, and
107bb I believe. Wondering if any one else had this problem and
Dump the 105 and get an xt or a cx-70.
