Classic Blackburn-style low riders have done well on my Romulus for several tours. I just used p clamps. It will discolor the paint over time. Fork and tubing are functionally equivalent to your 'bou. Go for it! -joe in pdx Caveat lector. Sent from a phone. On Dec 28, 2016 1:24 PM, "Kieran J"

I would have no hesitation whatsoever to trying a good lowrider on a Rambouillet. My personal favorite it the Nitto F27, but many people think that is too much money to spend on a rack. I think it's a bargain at the going price. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the

I never used front low riders on my Ram (one of the later ones, FWIW), but I did have them built and installed on my 2003 custom, and the bike handles 10 per side very well, and I've carried 20 per side, which made the steering sluggish. As Steve said, there's a huge difference between carrying a

The Ram fork is 1.0 non butted. RBW sold the bike as a "light" tour capable bike, not intended as a front loader. The Saluki which is the same bike as the Hilsen today was the one sold as a medium tourer with front and rear pannier rack mounts, while Atlantis was the heavy tourer. A slot now

I will add that the most extreme (and yet possibly most logical) option would be to commission a new low-ish trail fork from Tom Matchak or another builder, and powder the whole shootin' match. I'm wanting to reserve that as a last and most sensible/costly resort. KJ -- You received this
