[RBW] Hillborne Questions...

2018-03-30 Thread Joe Bernard
I can't say how it would go with bolts that close, but I've definitely rubbed a
chainring with that kind of clearance.

[RBW] Hillborne Questions...

2018-03-30 Thread Adam in Indiana
So I'm looking to finally get the build on my canti Hillborne started, but a
few questions have come up...

First off, safe clearance between the chainstay and chainring bolts. I'm using
a Veloce 110 bcd power torque crank, and the chainring bolts come pretty close
to the stays... The worse is the hidden bolt behind the crankarm, with about
1.5mm of clearance. That is, I can just squeeze/scrape a 1.5mm hex key through
the gap. To little? I'm not sure how much the Sam will flex under my 210
lbs... Wouldn't that part of the chainstay move/flex with the bottom bracket
anyhow..?

Second question is on the fork vent holes... Has anyone tried to route dynamo
wiring through them? Is it even possible to get through the top of the fork
blade and crown?

Thanks, everyone!
