Scott, the Nitto M151 is a new favorite. Somewhat shallower with less reach
than Noodles, but still same basic effects for me.

I have the 31.8 version on my Gunnar Sport, and the 26.0 clamp size
(everything else the same) on my Rambouillet.

Oh, I missed that you have ALL the faceplaters!  Nice!  I thought you had
one stem you were looking to use, and the randonneur bars tend to need a
shorter stem than other drop bars.  The RH bar is 115mm reach, vs the
M137's 78mm reach - 37mm difference! What is nice about the long reach of
the randonneur bars is that you have tons of real estate fore-aft to rest
your hands, hence their value as a long distance bar, but good plan to
start with the shortest stem.

And exactly what do you mean it likely won't work with my stem, too much reach?
I have Nitto FacePlaters in 60, 85, 110, and 135 and was thinking about

saddles can only mean "best for me." But here is what I like about the Maes
Parallel, after using scores of other road and "dirt" drop  bars.

The long flat ramps. I like my bars set up with ramps and ends of hooks
parallel to the ground, and the MP seems perfectly designed for this,
allowing you to mount your levers high enough without eliminating the flat
ramp ahead of the hoods.

Scott, I wanted a bar at least  as wide as my 48 Noodles, right now
planning on trying the 52 Noodles with a 26.0 clamp. The Maes are 46 at the

Nitto makes a 25.4 to 31.8 handlebar shim; I used one to get my first pair
of Maes Parallels to fit my Ritchey stem. Rivendell and Analog sell them.

Scott,

I ride tumbleweed prospector bars for the last 6 months with a discord 
fingerling stem, but I like drops but got used to the width.  I did 
purchase the new 54 cm Nitto noodle, but I have not ridden it yet.  My dark 
horse pick for wide bars is the vo rando bar that comes in 50 cm wide.  
Since I have these, I can't justify the Renee Herse option at 4x the price.

I just looked, and those Ride Farr drops are Supa-Wide...up to 750 mm!
Ima get one on the shipping truck, in addition to the RH Randonneur I ordered
prior to reading your post. Options are good, usually. Sometimes I plex too
much on options...haha.

Scott, yesterday on the Bob list I asked about comparisons of the Noodle
and the RH Randonneur bar that comes in 31.8. The two responders liked both
bars and had used them for years. Steve

[RBW] Is there a 31.8 clamp drop bar comparable to a Nitto Noodle 54cm?

Hey, all:

I'm wanting to try a 54cm Nitto Noodle drop, but I want to keep my 31.8 
Faceplater to facilitate cockpit changes.

Anyone know of a comparable bar or solution? Maybe I should just get a 
Noodle and stem for change outs...

Also, am I on the right track going with a Noodle (54cm cuz I'm tall)? I 
plan on using it as a cockpit option for my Atlantis build.
