I picked up the new fixed gear wheel Saturday and rode it today; first
fixed ride on this frame, same 70" gear as before. The new frame seems to
make it easier to climb seated while torquing hard-ish-ly at relatively
low-ish cadences.

New bike, same parts and wheels: 24.98 lb with AM hub and single 18 t cog
and shifting cable assembly; 23.9 lb with Surly fixed wheel with 17/19
Dingle and 18 t Shimano fw on flip side. Same build otherwise. Basically a
lb lighter than the 2003 Curt. It's not the lb that counts, it's that the
tubing seems to hold me back less.
