[RBW] Rat Trap Pass tires with metal fenders

2015-09-03 Thread Bill Lindsay
I installed Rat Trap Pass tires last night on 25mm rims (vintage RM-20).
They measure 52mm at 30psi. They fit with room to spare under stainless
steel VO fenders.

2015-09-03 Thread Jim Bronson
Who's to say what riders need and what they don't? To each his own. I
like 9 speed 11-34 and wouldn't mind going 10 or even 11 to narrow some of
the bigger gaps between gears.

OBTW,
1975 called and they want their freewheel back. ;)

OK, that 5-speed 14-34 has everything I need when riding this particular
bike, nothing I don't need when riding this particular bike.

and I'll remind you that Suntour Winner 5-speed freewheels were still
current in 1985 ;-)

Just keep your eyes open. It's not the kind of thing I would want to have to
find when I need it. If you need it, get ready to pay $100 on eBay or similar.
