Yup, those surly open bars have a lot of real estate before the curves. Very
trimmable.

Not my app. Just a very happy user who values people tinkering for themselves
and others. The creator is an iBobber tho.

Per the bar database, it looks as if the Surly Open is the best bet,
leading the Soma Sparrow by a hair.
Great! Thanks again.

Justin: Just looked; very well done, and very useful. Thanks again.
When I try to send $US to your account from my bank account, my bank wants
to charge me 30%. Any ideas about how to pay you and not them?

Justin: on more sober and mature reflection, your suggestion is entirely
apt, and I will indeed check out the app. In my flippant haste, and because
I'd not followed the handlebar database thread earlier, the possible
utility of a look didn't hit me hard enough to sink in. I will look.
Thanks,
Have you noticed that if you select the Crust Towel Rack, Poppi's face is
in the background? I just cracked up at work. What a nice little easter
egg.

Nah, I'd rather get others to do the work. Besides, you know you can't
trust online databases.

That would be very helpful; many thanks.

I owned them but don't remember the width (they seemed narrowish to me). The
answer about road levers is uhhh maybe. My wild guess is you could position
them right at the center of the bend and have enough room between blade and
bar.

Done and done.
Thanks for the reminder.
a) That's looking nice!
b) CTRL+F works in the browser just fine. Found both bars in seconds.

I have a set at home, I will measure tonight. I also have a set of original
Moustache bars on my Flying Pigeon - maybe I can get the Porteurs to sit on
top and get a picture - unless I have the Porteurs already on a bike...

Can anyone say how wide these are at the curves? And could one use road
levers at the curves? If not too wide, and if I could trim the usual
statutory 2" off each end, perhaps they might work, though they might be a
wee bit *too* close.

I should have added that a nice narrow curve that is 1" closer to the stem
clamp is what I am looing for.
