[RBW] Re: 2023 Nutmeg Country Spring Fling

2023-04-20 Thread James M
I already have a bike camping trip with folks out at the Delaware Water Gap
that weekend, otherwise would definitely go. I am planning to go back for
another Nor'Easter in October though - have had the calendar marked for
that in ink!

Wow, this would be so cool - a Riv gathering @ a Nutmeg event. And the ATB option looks so good for a Gus. I would have to drive over from Toledo. Maybe some of us in this neck of the woods can put together some sort of

I've never done it but this might be the year! It seems like I might
actually be able to make the drive up from Boston.

Debating which route to choose: ATB route with the fenderless Hunqa on
2.1" tubeless Thunderburts or Rando route with the newly appointed
 Bombadil
on 2" Schwalbe Marathons and fenders?

[RBW] Re: 2023 Nutmeg Country Spring Fling

2023-04-12 Thread J
Just my humble opinion but if you are going to nutmeg country to ride you'd
be missing out if you you didn't check out Ron's choice trails in the
woods. After my first Nutmeg Nor'easter I'm fully sold on making the 9 hour
drive up every year to ride those 300+ year old carriage roads and forest
trails. Roads are roads, everywhere has them.

I unfortunately won't be making the spring fling, my spring/summer is
pretty full already. Have fun out there!
