Sorry to be so slow. But I am just a few hours into having central heat
and in a celebratory mood.
Here's Betty. Since it was the demo. pretty much a stock build, but with
fatty bumpkins and a kickstand. I added longboards and the rear rack from
her Sequoia. And here's Betty with Patty.

Fortunately our wood stove is capable of heating the whole house. Heat
pumps make sense as auxiliary, especially where you run both heat and air
conditioning, which I don't. However I'm looking at preheating

That's a great idea to have the sequoia pass down to another generation. My
next home project will be to fully insulate our walls...back in the fifties
they figured California homes didn't need insulation lathe plaster. So
I'll do the spray in variety. The list is long but it's fun too.
my buddy used to have a vintage pier-and-beam house in the TX hill country,
and the best thing about it was the floor heater vents on a cold winter
morning.

I don't have it. I start having sneezing fits when my bare feet walk over
our chilly porcelain kitchen tile. Floor heat would probably solve that.

Replacing the forced air heating isn't something I'd think of doing in the
winter...unless the old one is kaput! Also wouldn't some form of heat pump
be a good way to go in your region?
