Phil, to be clear, bike and gear and food and water weigh 75 pounds, I’ve hauled 90+ pounds of groceries mostly downhill before, for only 5 miles. I wouldn’t want to tour with close to that much load, and there’s no reason to. Grin. Andrew, no secret. Joby mini tripod, iPhone, timer app. That’s it! Patrick, This was a good morning read before heading into work. I've found fixed gear climbing easier than not-fixed, but I've never done it with 75lb of gear. I love that you took a lot of photos as usual! Thanks for sharing; I enjoyed reading about your adventure and the shadow selfie was also very clever. -Brian On Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 6:40:59 PM UTC-5, Deacon Patrick wrote: > In which I ride through nearly every ecosystem Colorado has, wonder if I’m in > the Smokey Mountains instead, encounter deer, bear, wild ass, pronghorn > antelope, heard elk, and if my cloths got dirty I had plenty of washboard to > scrub them clean. > Grin.https://thegrid.ai/withabandon/fixed-gear-bikepacking-the-colorado-rockies > > > With abandon, > Patrick > > > www.CredoFamily.org > www.MindYourHeadCoop.org -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Wow!! What a trip! I also love the herbal and floral scents when riding. Also the smells of fireplaces and people cooking. But the herbal/florals make riding just so joyful and intoxicating. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. I am consistently amazed by your documented rides Patrick. You seem to have a very understanding wife. Lucky man that you are. Looks like it was a great time. Thanks for sharing! It really does look dangerously dry out there. I wonder how long I could go with the "holding water" trick.
