After reading several bicycle forums, considering the many
alternatives, I've settled on Frame Saver. I know that GP and other
bike shops use Boeshield, but I'm convinced it is because Frame Saver
is a mess to apply and clean up compared to Boeshield -- as I
discovered yesterday.
I think Frame

In your reading did you discover if applying framesaver to a frame
that has already been boeshielded is a bad idea?
No, I never saw that mentioned. As I understand it, Boeshield dries to
a wax, so it probably shouldn't be a problem (I'm no chemist, to say
the least). I would imagine the

It will last much longer than a couple of months on the inside of the
frame under normal conditoins. The reapply statement is mostly for
marine and outdoor applications in my opinion (2 degrees in Ocean /
Corrosion Engineering if that matters). My first exposure to T-9 was
in keeping outboard

Thanks, Rob. Good information.
I was just sitting here wondering whether there isn't something
better, that would never have to be re-applied, like some kind of
primer or paint. We don't repaint the frame twice a year, so why
should we

Well, I will admit, Boeshield does a really fine job on chains.
I've used it a couple of times on frames and have no reason to believe
it isn't good, but I have no reason to disparage Framesaver

I do my frames twice a year, at the beginning and end of winter (in MN
that works out to november and march usually). This seems like enough,
even the frames that get salt and sand and whatnot from the MN snow
removal hold up fine.

When you do your frame, do you squirt it in all the holes, tape them
up, turn the frame every which way to circulate the mess, or do you do
something less intensive/obsessive?

I don't tape anything. I do remove the stem BB and seat post and half
heartdly try to make sure everything gets covered. I'll squirt in the
cs/ss vent holes and tip it butt end up in the stand (cs drains out BB
on most of my bikes). I don't usually see much drain out. I don't

What if there is already rust inside?
