Ginz, in the narrow neck dual walled Kleen Kanteen you see there, coffee with cream stays nicely hot for at least 2-3 hours (I haven’t gone out longer than that in 0˚F before drinking the coffee, so can’t speak for its limits. Items of note: — widemouth cools significantly faster, to the point of being pointless for me. — I keep this one in the regular bottle holder on my frame, but the widemouth I’d put in my saddlebag to protect it from wind and give a bit more insulation. Helped, but not enough. — My 20 oz thermos holds 3 of my wee double-walled mugs. Once I pour one, it cools faster, two a lot faster. Works well to have one on arrival, keep thermos in saddlebag for further insulation, and two right before I leave, pipe or two in between. Patrick, Does the coffee stay warm enough at these temperatures?! About how long do you have until it goes cold? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. High collars and scarf worked this round, Steve. The forest brownies are waiting till I get complacent and it’s -20. That’s when they’ll sneak the snow though a gap in the neck. Mordant grin. "That happened too on the trail". Yes! There's nothing quite like the sensation of snow going down the back of one's neck and shirt! Maybe that didn't happen to you with your clothing set up. [RBW] Re: Coffeeneuring Complete!
Thanks, Steve. On the six inch snow day, the pines were shrouded in snow. It was completely still. Then, about half way through my pipe, gentle kisses of a hint of breeze would tustle the crop of a tree, shaking loose its shroud, which cascaded down sending plump sheets of billowing snow whoomping to the ground to break the silence, which washed in again until the next tree lifted it’s head in the breeze. Grin. It was delightful to be amidst the whoomping giants, but not under them (that happened too, on the trail. Grin.)! Oh, Patrick, your beaming smile speaks volumes of the joy you're experiencing being outside and enjoying your fixed gear Hunq. I can hear the crunch of the snow, the breezes in the trees, and smell the coffee and pipe smoke just by viewing your beautiful photos. Wonderful! Thanks! Steve.
