Mark, Next time try a sheet of bubble foil insulation cut to fit under a winter-rated insulation pad. And closed cell foam pads are safer than inflatables like Thermarest pads, especially when a leak in the pad could be a disaster. Or in an emergency, sleep on top of your panniers. If
