[RBW] Re: Commuter oriented bike shop in LA?
Second to both Coco's and GSC but the solidly commuter-oriented shop in LA is unfortunately a bit of a tall order. Flying Pigeon is long gone. Aika Trading was great and all about the Northern European approach (and where I got my Brompton) but they too have moved on. The Wheelhouse was in that mold and a Riv dealer, actually had Rivs on the floor... Ha, sorry, this isn't remotely helpful, cataloguing all the shops you can't visit. It's a bit of a sore spot for me, as someone who commutes 13mi round trip on the west side. I love GSC but I never, ever go there because it's too far to ride for anything day to day and it's a 45-minute drive most times on the weekend. This. I dare say Coco's is a bit more commuter oriented than GSC as well. Jeff Hagedorn Los Angeles, CA USA On Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 1:34:20 PM UTC-8, Drw wrote: > > Coco's is good too. Coco's is good too. Smaller than golden saddle, but full of fun vintage-into-practical rebuilds. The guys there seem genuinely interested in every weird project i've ever taken them. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Golden Saddle http://goldensaddlecyclery.bigcartel.com/products is not far from downtown & kinda fun place. Further afield is The Bicycle Stand in Long Beach http://thebicyclestand.org/ Linus has some neat stuff & is handled by several dealers. https://www.linusbike.com/ dougP On Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 6:54:25 AM UTC-8, ctifusion wrote: > > I'm remotely helping a friend get back into commuting, he lives on the > near-east side of LA.
