I am also skeptical about dymano-powered iPhone charging. iPhones are not
only picky, as Jim and Minh have mentioned, but they may get pickier over
time. The Busch und Müller e-Werk + cache battery combo was supposed to
charge iPhones (which it did at first) but Apple disabled it with a
If was going to be out that long on a regular basis I would maybe switch
phones to one that can swap batteries in and out, there are a variety out
there just as good as an Iphone that have such a feature. My dad is away
from power for a long time and has the GS3 and 2 batteries, they do come in
Jim,
The New Trent certainly looks like a very good solution. The manufacture of
Bike Revolution claims that “At only 9 MPH (14.4 km/h), charging is a fast
as a wall powered charger.” The problem is I know very little about the
charging requirements of my devices or electronics in general.
I use a solar charger when on tour for my
iPhone. http://www.solio.com/chargers/

First off it's not the charger that will or won't charge an iPhone. If you
plugged it in at speed you would be alright. Just never stop or you will
have to unplug and plug it back in once back to speed.
I've been using the e-werk with cache battery. I have the latest greatest

Also, for group phone charging or iPad charging with solar recharge
ability, there's this:

Kelly, that's interesting to hear, 'cos I couldn't get mine to work with
three different iPhone models. In fact I even tried hooking it up to the
wall via an AC adapter to be sure it was fully charged and the phones still
complained. I'm not that worried about charging my phone so I gave up on
Kelly,
From the manufactures FAQ on their web site.
“ Why does it take 10 seconds for charging to begin?”
“Some devices, such as the iPhone, require a minimum amount of power to
charge correctly. If charging begins before input power is sufficient, the
device may refuse to charge. The 10
I used the 11Ah and mor the 12Ah New Trent batteries for up to a week without a
recharge. I kept my phone off or on airplane mode a lot, but that's not
unreasonable in places where there is no signal.
