You've inspired me! Today's ride will include Dixie Mountain, a nice
gravel backroad that climbs up out of Scappoose, OR up to Skyline Blvd
and then drop back into Portland.
I've only ever done it a few times. Here's some pictures from Fall

an unpaved road! Like Robert, I wonder what part of the country they
were taken. Reminds me of central Virginia or North Carolina...

Barbara County. The prisoners run a dairy farm. It has pine trees
because it's borders Los Padres Nat'l forest. Your ride inspired me to
