I do well with two layers of Newbaum's, each layer coated in shellac. It's
thicker, but no more absorbent.

I'll have to try them. I used to just run multiple newbaums, and then
switched to leather. I miss the various Newbaum colors

Thanks, I'm looking for a padded tape to use with bar ends, so Ergons
wouldn't be my first choice.
I decided to order some of the padded Newbaum's to give it a try.
Though I would like to see a pic of Newbaum's tape over Ergon grips. That
sounds pretty funky. :)
